If you hold a West Lothian Citizen Entitlement Card, you can travel free on buses throughout Scotland, and to Berwick-on-Tweed and Carlisle, and you are entitled to reduced rate off peak local area rail travel in West Lothian and  surrounding areas.

which has views to the Bathgate Hills, and cairns created by Scottish Scouts to mark the Millennium. From A89 turn into Speedway car park, access via gateway.

Hardhill Community Woodland & Bathville Junction

Black Moss

a popular 'health walk', has woodlands and ponds. At main junction in Armadale (A89/B8084), turn onto South St (B8084), right at Bowling Club sign, your entrance is on right.

Walking and Cycling:

The Hillend Loch railway path is a 14 mile, mainly traffic-free, wheelchair-accessible, section of Millennium Route 75, from Drumgelloch Station, Airdrie, through Plains, Caldercruix, Blackridge, skirting Armadale, to a point near the current Bathgate Railway Station.
