| The beautiful surroundings of
Glen Cassley can be found a few miles NW of Lairg in Sutherland. The
remains of a broch can be found on the SW slopes of these steep
hills. The broch has visible standing walls with the most of the
structure collapsed forming a debris field. The internal structure
is difficult to discern, but the internal wall can be made out. The
structure has been robbed of its stone in for later sheep pens built
onto its south-eastern face. The eastern entrance can just be made
out, with the associated northern guard chamber still intact. A cup
marked slab was found nearby and is in the local museum.
