Towards the foot of the hillfort are a two
stones. One is in a standing position, sub rectangular in nature and
standing over a metre tall. It has no obvious markings on any of its
faces. The second stone is lying face down just a short distance from the
standing stone and again has no obvious marking on its visible face. The
position of the standing stone would suggest some sort of marker guiding
the traveller towards the rampart entrance of the fort. There are other
stones up towards the hill summit, which could suggest a line of stones
once existed. |
